Reverse IP Lookup
Find hostnames one passive DNS source has observed for a public IPv4 or IPv6 address, then compare up to 25 with live forward DNS. Results are evidence, not an ownership or completeness claim.
- IPv4 and IPv6
- Observed and historical labels
- Bounded live verification
- PTR shown separately
Look up a public IP address
Network request: the address is sent to this site’s same-origin API. That service queries the fixed Robtex Free API and performs bounded public DNS checks. Do not enter private or sensitive internal addresses.
Source and coverage
PTR evidence PTR is reverse DNS configured for the address. It is not the same as a reverse-IP hostname inventory and does not prove ownership.
Routing context
ASN, route, and geolocation are context only. They do not establish who owns an address or hostname.
| Hostname | Label Verified now means a live A or AAAA response included the queried IP. Observed and historical come from passive source data and may be stale. | Source observation | Live forward DNS |

How to interpret this lookup
A reverse IP lookup correlates past observations with a public address. Shared hosting, CDNs, proxies, anycast, and rapidly changing DNS can all make the relationship ambiguous.
- Verified now: the live A or AAAA answer included the queried IP when checked.
- Observed: Robtex passive data associated the hostname with this IP, but the live check did not confirm it or was not run.
- Historical: optional historical source data recorded an older association.
- Only the first 25 returned associations are live-checked, and no passive dataset is exhaustive.
Exports preserve the API evidence. CSV text that could be interpreted as a spreadsheet formula is prefixed safely.
